While it may be the time when you pack up and go on holiday, leaving all of your troubles behind, there are actually a lot of essential jobs in the garden over July and August that need attending to!
So make sure that whoever is looking after your house it also looking after your garden, otherwise prepare to come back to a bit of a nightmare!
Here is a video explaining some of the main jobs in July to look for in the UK:
For August, it’s less complicated, however we have included some advice below:
WATER: It’s the most essential thing to do in your garden in August, if you can only do one thing, make sure your plants and shrubs are well watered during the hottest month of the year.
It is also essential to maintain any garden furniture you may have outside in the sun, as this can sometimes be warped, particularly if it isn’t UV stabilised (such as popular rattan furniture). However if you have a range of weatherproof furniture then you won’t have to worry about this, the range of reclining garden furniture at Gardencentreshopping is a particular favourite of mine!
